Funko is an American company that makes plastic figures. They also produce key rings, games and plush dolls, among other things. Funko was founded in 1998 and made 'bobbleheads' at the time. The company later grew into a manufacturer of plastic dolls and action figures, working under license from companies such as Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Product design takes place in Everett, while manufacturing takes place in countries such as China and Vietnam.

Funko was founded in 1998 by Mike Becker. He sold the company to Brian Mariotti and two silent partners in 2005. The catalog was expanded in 2010 with figures based on DC Comics characters. This 'Pop!' line then expanded to include athletes, musicians, television characters, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, politicians and film characters.

In 2013, Fundamental Capital bought the company. In 2016, Acon Investments acquired a majority of 60%; Fundamental Capital retained 20% while Funko management received the remaining 20%.

The company focuses on the collector market, and organizes the Funko Fundays every year during the San Diego Comic-Con International. Funko offers subscriptions for so-called 'mystery boxes', where consumers take out a subscription for a specific theme and receive a box with figures every month.
